A Bible study of Ruth for women

Under His Wings

A 4-week Bible study of Ruth for women. Ten minutes a day.

The book of Ruth opens with three deaths and a season nobody chose, and it never looks away. Four weeks with two widows, a barley field, and a God who works through ordinary days. Written for the woman whose life changed under her without asking first: loss, upheaval, rebuilding, starting over.

What's inside

Each week has five study days, a memory verse day, and a reflection day. Every study day follows the same four moves: Read a passage, Notice what is actually in the text with three questions, Respond in the writing space, and Pray from a starting line you finish in your own words.

1What She Lost. Famine, three deaths, and a road back to Bethlehem. Honest grief, a costly vow, and a God who does not look awayRuth 1:16
2The Field. Provision in small daily mercies: a law about leftovers, a landowner who pays attention, and refuge under God's wingsRuth 2:12
3The Threshing Floor. A bold request, a man of integrity, and the hard skill of waiting well once the asking is doneRuth 3:11
4The Gate. Redemption paid in public, Naomi's arms filled, and Ruth's name on the first page of the New TestamentRuth 4:14

Where You Go, I Will Go

Maybe you are staying faithful to someone, or something, with no proof it will ever be repaid. Ruth knows that road. You have probably heard today's verses at a wedding, but no one is getting married here. These words were spoken on a dusty road, by one widow to another...

“But Ruth replied: “Do not urge me to leave you or to turn from following you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.”

Ruth 1:16 (BSB)

Read it as a list of surrenders. Your road, not mine. Your home, not mine. Your people, not mine. Your God, not mine. Ruth is not making a warm promise about friendship. She is cutting off her own retreat...

Questions women ask

Do I need any Bible background?

No. The study explains every word it uses (like hesed and kinsman-redeemer) in plain language, and the questions only ever ask you to notice what is on the page in front of you.

How much time does it take each day?

About ten minutes. Five study days a week, a short memory verse day, and a reflection day that is mostly rest.

What Bible translation does it use?

The Berean Standard Bible. Every quote is machine-checked word for word against the published text. Nothing is paraphrased or AI-written. You can use any Bible you love alongside it, or choose the full-text edition and skip the lookups.

I'm walking through a loss right now. Is this study safe for me?

It was written for exactly that season, and it is careful. It never promises that your story will end like Ruth's, never explains your pain, and never rushes your grief. It shows you what the text actually says about God and two women in a devastating season, and lets that be enough.

Do I need to print it?

No. You get a print-friendly PDF (light on ink) and a color screen edition for phone or tablet. The writing space works on GoodNotes and similar apps.

What if I fall behind?

Nothing breaks. Pick up where you left off. A missed day is not a failed study.

Can I share it with my group?

The $13.99 and $23.99 editions are for your personal use. The $44 leader kit includes a license to print for up to 12 women.

Refunds?

If the study is not what you hoped, reply to your receipt email within 30 days and we will refund you. No forms, no argument.
