Open It Again
A 2-week guide to studying the Bible, for women starting over. Ten minutes a day.
It has been a while since you opened it. Maybe years. Maybe you tried a read-the-Bible-in-a-year plan, fell behind in Leviticus, and quietly stopped. This guide starts you over without making you feel behind. Week 1 teaches one simple method, one small piece a day. Week 2 practices it on a short letter, with less help each day, until you are doing it on your own.

What's inside
The whole guide teaches one method, and the method has four moves: Read a passage, Notice what is actually in it, Respond to one small true thing in the writing space, and Pray the passage back to God. Every other study in the shop uses the same four moves, so you learn it once.
| Day | Week 1: the method |
|---|---|
| 1 | Where to start. Pick one short book, not Genesis to Revelation |
| 2 | Read it twice. How to actually read a passage twice, in Psalm 23 |
| 3 | Notice. Repeated words, who is doing what, what surprises you |
| 4 | Respond. What it says, and what you do with it. One small true thing |
| 5 | Pray it back. Praying a passage back to God, line by line, in Psalm 121 |
| 6 | Context without a seminary. Who wrote it, to whom, and what was going on |
| 7 | Grace for the days you miss. No streaks, no catching up, nothing broken |
| Day | Week 2: the practice, in Philippians |
|---|---|
| 8 | Philippians 1:1-11, with all four moves worked out loud so you can see one done |
| 9 | Philippians 1:12-21. We do Read and Notice. You do Respond and Pray |
| 10 | Philippians 2:1-11. Three questions, no worked answers |
| 11 | Philippians 2:12-18. One nudge per move |
| 12 | Philippians 3:7-14. Four headings, one nudge in total |
| 13 | Philippians 4:4-9. Blank page. You run the whole method by yourself |
| 14 | How to pick your next book, and what a normal week looks like from here |
What You Take With You
The last day is a send-off, not a graduation. It has one job: get you to tomorrow without us. It ends on a line Paul wrote to the same church you just spent a week in...
“being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6 (BSB)
Read who is doing the work in that sentence. Not you. The day asks you to pick your next short book, write the date you will start, and nothing more...
Want something free first? The free 7-day Bible starter plan is seven short passages in Mark, and it needs no email.
Who this is for
It is for you if you have wanted to read the Bible for yourself and have not known where to put your finger. If you have sat in a study where everyone else seemed to know the books in order. If you grew up in church and left and are coming back and do not want to be treated like a project. Two weeks, ten minutes a day, and nobody is watching.
What it will not do
It will not tell you that fourteen days makes you a Bible person. It will not promise that Scripture fixes the thing you are worried about, or that you will feel God speak on a schedule. It teaches a method and hands it to you. That is the whole offer, and it is an honest one.
Questions women ask
I have not opened a Bible in years. Is this too basic, or not basic enough?
It starts at the beginning and never makes you feel bad about that. It explains what chapter and verse numbers mean, how to find a book, and what the testaments are, plainly and once. Nothing assumes you remember anything.
How much time does it take each day?
About ten minutes. Fourteen days in total: seven that teach the method one piece at a time, and seven that practice it on a short letter.
What do I need to buy or download first?
A Bible or a phone, ten minutes, and something to write with. No study Bible, no commentary set, no app subscription. If you want the passages printed for you, the full-text edition has every one of them in the book.
Which Bible translation should I use?
Whichever one you will actually read. The guide explains word for word and thought for thought in plain language and lets you choose. Every verse quoted inside the guide is word for word from the Berean Standard Bible.
Will this make me a Bible person in two weeks?
No, and we will not tell you it does. The guide teaches you one simple method and hands it over. What you do next is yours, and Day 14 is about picking your next book without us.
What if I miss a day, or a week?
Nothing breaks. There are no streaks here, no catch-up plan, and no page that scolds you. Day 7 exists to say that out loud.
What is the method?
Read, Notice, Respond, Pray. Read the passage, notice what is actually in it, respond in writing to one small true thing, and pray the passage back to God. Every study in the shop uses the same four moves, so you never relearn how a day works.
Do I need to print it?
No. You get a print-friendly PDF (light on ink) and a color screen edition for phone or tablet. The writing space works in GoodNotes and similar apps.
Can I use this with a friend or a small group?
Yes, and two people is a good number for it. The $13.99 and $23.99 editions are licensed for your personal use, so each woman buys her own. This guide has no group leader kit yet.
Refunds?
If the guide is not what you hoped, reply to your receipt email within 30 days and we will refund you. No forms, no argument.
When you are ready for a longer one
Every study in the shop runs on the same four moves you learn here, so nothing is new but the book.
Instant download, no account, yours forever. Free sample first: Ruth in 5 days, free.
